He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wesley Ragland and Earline Lewis Ragland Maupin; his wife Mary Elizabeth Ragland; his sons, Earl and Norman Ragland; and his grandson Donald Ross III.
He is survived by: his daughters, Maxine Ross, Monica Pruitt (Victor) and Tangalia Timberlake (Shelby); and his grandchildren, Monica Minus (Daryl), Earl Ragland Jr. (Erica), Erek Ragland (Stephanie), Alecia Campbell (Lenny), Amie, Lillie Timberlake, Marco, Marian, Adris and Tatiana Ragland.
