He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Stegall and Freda Hall Nelson; and his wife Laura Sowers (Head). He is survived by: his son Billy Wayne Sowers (Sherri); his grandchildren, Logan Blake Sowers and Aiden Cole Sowers; and his close friend Michelle "Missy" Brown.
