We are sad to announce that on December 10, 2025, at the age of 90, Shirley Wright Hinshaw of Henry, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Shirley had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Shirley may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Wright and Thelma Wright; and her brother Philip Wright of Burlington, NC.. She is survived by: her husband Vernon Hinshaw; her sister-in-law Eleanor Wright; and her children, Gwen Knight (Eddie), Gayle Wilson (Tommy), Carol Christopher (Jimmy) and Jimmy Hinshaw (Kimberley). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at 260 Shirley Ln, Henry, VA 24102.
