It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Chester Jones of Herndon, Virginia, born in Whiteford, Maryland, who passed away on October 27, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Marshall Jacob and Helen Ross Jones; his wife Bernice Alene Jones; and his son Robert Steven Jones. He is survived by : his daughters, Mary Ellen Harringer (Dennis) of Kissimmee, FL, Connie L. DeWitt (Sandy) of Cranesville and Barbara L. Jones of Terra Alta; and his grandchildren, David, Patrick, Susan D'Arcy, Robert, Phillip DeWitt, Nicholas and Zachary Simon. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
