With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert John Saunders (Herndon, Virginia), born in Barberton, Ohio, who passed away on April 12, 2024 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Robert John Saunders to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, John Madison Saunders and Kathryn Langguth; his son John Arthur; and his brother Larry. He is survived by : his wife Johanna Knape (Joey); his children, Heidi Rogers (Jeff), Frederick Saunders (Ana), Gretchen Macmillan (Jay) and Katrine Farrar (Loren); his grandchildren, Scott, Matt, Jake, Kate, Cole, Shane, Grace, Wade, Myles and Henry; and his sisters-in-law, Carol Dawson and Phyllis Saunders. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Good Shephard Lutheran Church (1133 Reston Ave, Herndon, VA 20170).

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the church.
