He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Smith; his children, Roland Smith, Jr., Derrick Smith and Deborah Smith; his daughter-in-law Juliette Smith; his grandson Chauncey Smith; his stepgrandchildren, Andre Lyles and Donnielle Lyles; his sister Marva Mills; and his siblings-in-law, Milton Harley, Herbert Byrd, Michael Simms, Grant Simms, Yvonne Smith, Bertie Harley, Helen Simms and Taryn Simms. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
