He was predeceased by : his parents, Kundan Singh Patwal and Sadevi Devi; his daughter Anita; and his brother Gamal Singh. He is survived by : his children, Geeta (Rakesh), Dinesh (Chitra) and Gayatri (Ariel); his son-in-law Ajay; and his grandchildren, Udit (Nadira), Shiva, Aditya, Anand, Manisha, Vishal, Andre and Cassandra.
