He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley R. Gardner and Lillian Thompson; his wife Gertrude May Gardner; and his daughter Beverly May Spurlock. He is survived by: his brother Leonard; his brothers-in-law, Robert Draper and John Nettleton; his children, Connie Marr (Doug), Keith Gardner (Cheryl), Lowell Gardner (Debbie) and Curtis Gardner; and his sister Nancy Draper. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Adams-Green Funeral Home (721 Elden St, Herndon, VA 20170). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Dranesville United Methodist Church (1089 Liberty Meeting Ct, Herndon, VA 20170). A burial was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Arnon Chapel Cemetery (646 Walker Rd, Great Falls, VA 22066).
