She was predeceased by: her husband Homer "Caleb" McMurray; her parents, Sylvester McMurray and Ruth McMurray; her children, David McMurray and Brenda McMurray; her son-in-law Raymond Blalock; and her siblings, Gail, Garvey, Woodrow, Dewey, Hagan, Perry McMurray and Gaye Williams.
She is survived by: her daughter Remona Kay "Betsy" Blalock of Hiltons, VA; her daughter-in-law Kim Laney McMurray of Fall Branch, TN; her sisters, Faye Sturgill (Robert) of Hiltons, VA, Patsy Laughlin (Darrell) of Kingsport, TN, Peggy Hughes (Ralph) of Blountville, TN and Hazel Wilson of Bristol, VA.; her grandchildren, Dustin Carter (Holly) of Nickelsville, VA, Justin McMurray (Jessica) of Kingsport, TN, Caleb Starnes of Hiltons, VA, Daniel McMurray (Emily) of Fall Branch, TN, Keith McMurray (Shea) of Fall Branch, TN and Abigail Starnes of Knoxville, TN.; and her great grandchildren, Rayanne Carter, Adalynn Starnes, Willa, Emery McMurray and Anna McMurray.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 10:15 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Calendar Gene Falin Memorial Chapel (136 Beech St, Gate City, VA 24251). A graveside service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Calendar Glenwood Cemetery (2527 McMurray Hollow Rd, Hiltons, VA 24258).
