With sadness, we share the passing of Danielle Smith of Hinton, Virginia. Danielle, born on August 22, 1998, passed away on August 28, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her stepgrandfather Huey Hopkins; her great-grandparents, Betty and Robert Thomas; and her great-uncle Gerald "Peanut" Smith. She is survived by: her sons, Gabriel and Silas; her mother Stacey Smith; her stepfather David Harris; her brothers, Atticus Harris and Leonidas Harris; her grandmother Kim Smith; her aunt Stephanie van Nest (Ben); her uncles, Steven Smith (Yelania) and Sam Harris; her cousins, Tessa, Tyler and Talen; her great-aunt Kathy; and her daughter Danielle. She is also survived by family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McMullen Funeral Home (5784 Greenmount Rd, Harrisonburg, VA 22802). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist with final expenses, McMullen Funeral Home 5784 Greenmount Road, Rockingham, VA 22802.
