He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Thompson and Bessie Thompson; and his siblings, Alston, Donald, Sherman, Peg Moyers and Lillie Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Pauline Thompson (Huffman); his children, Karen Carter (Craig Thompson) of Hinton, VA, Barbara Eavers (Bill) of Dayton, VA and David Thompson (Cheryl) of Elkton, VA; his grandchildren, Shayna Carter, Timothy Watson and Jordan Thompson; and his great grandchildren, Jentrey, Pierce, Margaret and Benji.
Memorials may be made to the Clover Hill Fire or Rescue Squad.
