It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mae Elizabeth Gwinn of Hinton, Virginia, born in Raleigh, West Virginia, who passed away on March 27, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Harvey Guy and Cordelia Mae Bragg Garrett; her husband Howard Edward Gwinn; her siblings, Edward Guy Garrett, Jo Ann Bragg, Lucille Ballis and Helen Colleen Fleshman Smith; and her son-in-law Lee McClanahan.
She is survived by : her daughters, Karen Gillispie (Fred) of Hillsville, VA, Donna McClanahan of Moneta, VA, Anita "Sue" Thomas (Sidney) of Hinton and Jennifer Webb (Brian) of Wytheville, VA; her grandchildren, Tracy Webb, Dakota Terrell, Brian McClanahan, Jodi McClanahan, Kemberlee McClanahan, Anthony Thomas, Nicholas Thomas, Simon Redden, Justin Webb, Derrek Webb and Kurstin Webb; her great grandchildren, Jonathan Webb, Alex Webb, Jackson Cox, Gracie Kisner, Tommy Cox, Sophia Middaugh, Harlee Nutt, Kolbe Thomas and Elijah Thomas; and her great great grandchildren, Addison Webb and Tobias Kisner. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
