He was predeceased by: his parents, Gaither Farmer and Angie Farmer; his children, William "Eric" Farmer and Leslie Riggs; his brothers, Stacey Lee Farmer and Talmage Farmer; and his grandson Christopher Riggs.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Sue Atwood Farmer; his sons, Matthew Farmer, Hiwassee, Michael Sadler (Alice), Pulaski and Douglas Porterfield (Ivan); his grandchildren, Dekota Sadler, Justice Sadler, Julian Riggs and Nevaeh Bevil; his great grandchildren, Emilie Sadler, Laela Sadler and Bralyn Wade; his brother Robert Earl Farmer; his daughter Laura Johnson; his grandchildren, Ivy and George; his nephew Michael Farmer (Tina); and his sister-in-law Shirley Frances Farmer.
