She was predeceased by : her parents, Guy Ardue and Melvina Jane Boyd; her husband Lawrence Colley; her siblings, Marshall Boyd, Estil (Cathy Boyd), Charles (Thelma Boyd), Jim Boyd, Ella Mae Boyd and Carlie Boyd Clevinger; and her siblings-in-law, Joan Boyd and Carson Lester.

She is survived by : her daughter Wanda Barton (Clayton) of Murphy, Virginia; her granddaughter Jill Dye (Mike) of Honaker, Virginia; her sons, Eric Barton (Amanda) of Murphy, Michael Brandon Colley (April) of Lebanon, Virginia and Preston Colley of Lebanon, Virginia; her great grandchildren, Jacob Colley and Lucas Colley; her siblings, Thelma Lester, Robert Boyd (Linda), Steve Boyd (Regina), David Boyd (Wilma), Ferrell Boyd (Sue) and William "Bill" Boyd; and her sisters-in-law, Maledia Boyd, Birchie Boyd and Frances Duty. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in the form of donations to Tiller Town Freewill Baptist Church, 6425 Helen Henderson Highway, Honaker, Virginia 24260.
