With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Delores Marie Johnson of Honaker, Virginia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ive Honaker and Ethel Dye Honaker; her husband Daniel Roosevelt Johnson; her children, Danny Richard Johnson, Judith Johnson Murphy and Darryl "DeeDee" Johnson; her sons-in-law, Larry Murphy and Kenny King; and her great grandchild Murphy Jo Childress.
She is survived by: her children, Harold Johnson (Donna), Trish Johnson King, Kathy Johnson Ray (Mike), David Johnson (Mark Phillips) and Chris Johnson; her grandchildren, Chad King (Kelli), Lindsey Ray Lawson (Bryan), Clinton Johnson (Chrystal), Myra Murphy Childress (Ben), Chase King (Jessica), Courtney King Jessee (Ben), Megan Murphy, Hunter Johnson, Hayden Johnson, Peyton Johnson (Madison) and Ethan Johnson; her stepgrandsons, Richard Shelton (Michelle) and Joseph Shelton (Ashley); her great grandchildren, Gage, Griffin, Barrett, Callan King, Romy Kate, Stella Rose Lawson, Clint, Brianna Johnson, Millie Jane Childress, Landry, Alden Jessee and Sophie Johnson; and her brother Charlie Honaker (Jean) of Brookeville. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Honaker Funeral Home (4686 Redbud Hwy, Honaker, VA 24260). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
