She was predeceased by : her parents, Alfred Harris and Eva Musick Harris; her husband Robert Sykes; her daughter Christina Kay Cabell; and her siblings, Stanley Harris, Dayton Harris, Whitt Harris, Harmon Harris, Winston Harris, Curtis Harris, Hazel Stinson, Iris Leonard, Jettie Hart, Lena Riley and Martha McGlothlin.

She is survived by : her children, Jeff Sykes (Valerie) of Honaker, Mike Sykes of Honaker, Tim Sykes (Wanda) of Honaker and Janet Stevens of Honaker; her sister Barrie of Chicago, Illinois; her grandchildren, Stephen Gauldin, Jennifer Gauldin, Keithie, Abigail Sykes, John Sykes, Zack Sykes, Heather Harris, T. J., Adam Cabell, Alesha, Tyler Ray and Brittney Cabell; and her great grandchildren, Madison Wilson, Jordan, Lane Vance, Brody Vance, Liam Stevens, Landon Stevens, Austin Barnhart, Hunter Gauldin, Charlotte Gauldin, Silas Cabell, Vada Kay Cabell, Daxton Taylor, Zayden Sykes, Sydney Grace Moore and Bentley Hale. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
