He was predeceased by : his father Foster D. Compton; and his brother Jackie Lee "Buck" Compton of Honaker. He is survived by : his mother Beulah "Boots" Lester Compton of Honaker; his wife Stella Bernice Compton; his children, John Bradley Compton (Robin) of Honaker and Amy Compton of Lebanon; his sisters, Gail Osborne (Stanley) of Honaker, Wilma Hess (G. B.) of Lebanon and Sue Brushé (J. J.) of Honaker; and his grandchildren, Tessa Presley, Alysia Dye, Randi Dye, Chloe Compton and Colby Compton. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
