He was predeceased by : his parents, John Henry Owens and Bertha Lou Boyd Owens; and his siblings, William Lee Owens, Hazel Elkins (Wint), Carry Rimmer (Jack), Gladys Noel (Doc), Mazie and Elzia Whitt (Ralph).

He is survived by : his wife Greta Owens (Whited); his daughter Donna Owens; and his precious Angel. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
