He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Allen and Beulah Mae Hughes Compton; his daughter Melissa Compton Ray; and his brothers, Sherman Lee Compton, Alvie Wayne Compton and James Allen Compton.
He is survived by: his daughter Michelle Mullins (Greg); his sister Nadine Fly; his grandchildren, Jada Taylor (Adam), Jayson Mullins (Leah) and Alexia Ray; his son-in-law Shannon Ray; Clifford Hess, Cynthia Compton of Dan Hess, B. J, Street, Stan Bostic and Rob Majors. He is also survived by one niece, several nephews, and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Honaker Funeral Home (4686 Redbud Hwy, Honaker, VA 24260). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
