He was predeceased by : his parents, Bill Fred and Eva Martin Lester; and his siblings, Debra Crockett, Edith K. Lester, Evelyn Rowe, Roy Lester and Joe Martin.

He is survived by : his siblings, Betty Sue Deskins, Ronald D. "Ethyl" Lester, Freddie Martin, Bobby Martin and Benny Martin; and his niece Jennifer Crockett Owens. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
