With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ronald Lee Sword Sr. of Honaker, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 27, 2025 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Burke and June Elizabeth Justice Sword; and his siblings, Shirley Ann Farley, Wilmer Burke "Bud" Sword and Sylvia Jean Kennedy.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Sue Sword; his children, Ronald Lee Sword, Jr. (Darlene) and Rebecca June Gentry (Chris); his grandchildren, Brittany, Michael, Morgan, Bryan, Olivia and Taylor; his stepson Preston "P. J." Estep, Jr.; his sisters, Linda Rita Cottingham and Lori Gail Compton (Roger); and his close friends, Robert and Laura Vencill. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
