She was predeceased by: her parents, George Harris and Julie Honaker Harris; her husband Joe W. Thompson; and her siblings, Odum Harris, Norman Harris, Flossie Harris, Irene Owens, Ellen Lockhart, Odessa Musick, Gladie Belcher and Christina Meade.

She is survived by: her children, Clinton Thompson (Johnnie Belinda) of Rosedale, Jack Emory Thompson (Amma Lou) of Honaker, Virginia and Julie Cochran (Jeff) of Greenville; her grandchildren, Cassie Reynolds, Zachary Cochran and Adam Thompson (Anna); and her great grandchild Katie Reynolds. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
