He was predeceased by: his parents, William M. Mitchell and Vena Blankenship Mitchell; his nephew Jason Overstreet; and his brothers-in-law, Ralph Johnson and Melvin J. Grishaw.
He is survived by: his siblings, William T. Mitchell (Pasty), Jackie Ray Mitchell (Darlene), Larry D. Mitchell (Brenda), Carolyn Johnson, Brenda Grishaw, Gail Dawson (Larry) and Vickie Overstreet (Sonny). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
