He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Anna Witt Updike and Edison Odell Updike. He is survived by: his sons, Marvin Pete Updike Jr. (Lisa) and Jeffrey Alan Updike (Amy); his sister Anna Krantz; and his grandchildren, Marvin Pete Updike III, Robert Wesley Updike, Natalie Cifuentes, Jeffrey Daniel Updike, Jessica Alan Updike, Alicyn Marie Updike and Hunter Alan Updike. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, and Diane's children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
