She was predeceased by: her parents, Janie Hurley Akers and William Clay Akers; her husband William F. Ling II; her sons, Danny Arthur Ling, Leslie Scott Ling and Donald Ray Ling; and her sisters, Marylou Akers and Joanne Akers Massey.
She is survived by: her children, Ava Diane Justus, William Mike Ling (Helen), Terry Wayne Daniels, Jimmy Dean Ling (Chris Ling) and Susan Rena Billings (Barry); and her sister Marlene Cochran. She is also survived by many extended family members, including a niece and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Grundy Funeral Home (22208 Riverside Dr, Grundy, VA 24614). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
