She was predeceased by: her parents, Billy Isaac Owen and Edith Blair Owen Irby; her siblings, William Blair Owen and J'Nell Cotton; and her son-in-law Eddie Hamlett.
She is survived by: her husband Avert "Buddy" Crews; her children, Michael Crews (Susan) of Hurt, Dianna Hamlett of Gretna, Ellen Brumfield (Gary) of Lynch Station, Carol Cantarero of North Carolina and Rebecca Parker (Mike) of Marathon, FL; and her siblings, Wayne Owen (Vicki) of Gretna, Billie Jane Goodman (Roger) of Gretna and Patricia Blair of Hurt. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 8th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Colbert-Moran Funeral Home (307 Main St, Gretna, VA 24557). A memorial service was held on Sunday, March 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Colbert-Moran Chapel (307 Main St, Gretna, VA 24557).
