He is survived by: his wife Carol Cook; his daughter Gwendolyn Cook of Lynchburg, Virginia; his grandchildren, Tiana Cook of Lynchburg, Virginia, Jasmine Tyree and Taegan Walker; his siblings, Ezel Cook (Nell) of Hurt, Calvin Cook of Hurt, Raymond Cook (Julia) of Hurt, Barbara Gregory of Hurt, Elizabeth Irvine of Chatham and Waddie Cook (Olethia) of Gladys, Virginia; and his siblings-in-law, Sylvester Smith (Charlotte) of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Patricia Smith of Newport News, Virginia. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Miller Funeral Home (668 Zion Rd, Gretna, VA 24557). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Miller Funeral Home Chapel (668 Zion Rd, Gretna, VA 24557). A burial was held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery (700 Delta Dr, Hurt, VA 24563).
