She was predeceased by : her parents, Adah Edward Arthur and Eva Mason Arthur; her husband Larry Lee Scruggs; and her grandson Shawn Thacker. She is survived by : her daughters, Donna Dalton (Gary) of Gretna and Janet Thacker (Kelly) of Altavista; her sister Doris Rowland of Hurt; her grandchildren, Melissa Russell (Ethan), Rachel Overstreet (Zack), Amber Wingfield (Tyler) and Michael Thacker; her great grandchildren, Alayna, Mia and Landon; her sister-in-law Betty Andrews; and her nieces, Cheryl Rowland, Madelyn Meadows, Kaye Bagby and Kathy Bottoms.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Midway Baptist Church (1949 Midway Rd, Gretna, VA 24557). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
