He was predeceased by : his parents, Albert Clyde Brumfield and Ruth Vasser Brumfield; his son Lyn Brumfield; his grandson Chris Smith; and his siblings, Edgar "San" Brumfield, Morris Dalton, Avis Brumfield, Hazel Dolan and Fay Dalton.
He is survived by : his wife Rebecca Murphy Brumfield; his children, Troy Brumfield (Beth) of Brookneal and Joan Smith of Gretna; his sisters, Gladys Ward of Hurt and Eliza Adams of Gretna; and his grandchildren, Heather Boyles (David), Kelly Garbee (Adam), Todd Brumfield (Katie) and Dustin Brumfield. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
