Leonard Raye Shelton Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on April 9, 2026, at the age of 73, Leonard Raye Shelton of Hurt, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Berkley Howard Shelton and Agnes Hunley Shelton; and his brother Curtis Shelton. He is survived by: his wife Elaine Hall Shelton; his siblings, Tommy Patterson (Frances) of Hurt, Lavin Shelton (Kathy) of Altavista and Kimberly Epperson (Rodney) of Pittsville; his niece Amber Harrison (Ben); his nephews, Curt Shelton (Tanya) and Mark Krupnick; and his great-niece Karen Hall. He is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
