He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Charles and Lasca Halsey Carico; his son Anthony Carico; and his siblings-in-law, Jean Day, Ricky Bobbitt, Howard and Pat Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Carlene Carico; his son Adam Carico (Cheyanne) of Independence, VA; his sister Brenda Crouse (John) of Crumpler, NC; his siblings-in-law, Eddie, Barbara Sutherland of Elk Creek, VA, Andrew, Katherine Poole of Independence, VA, Kermit, Debbie Smith and Emma Bobbitt of Independence, VA; his nephew Randolph Poole of Independence, VA; his friends, Danny Hash and Emerson Halsey; and his close friend Angie Cheeks.
