It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dale Tanner Smith (Independence, Virginia), born in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia, who passed away on July 30, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Howard E. Smith and Hattie Halsey Smith. He is survived by : his brothers, Vern (Shirley Smith), Ford Smith of Independence, VA, Joe (Joyce Smith) and Tommy (Wanda Smith). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
