He is survived by : his wife Georgia Ruth Cornett; his daughter Debbie; his son-in-law Eddie Perkins of Troutdale, VA; his son David Cornett of Troutdale; his grandchildren, Stacey (Scott Osborne), Ashley (Brandon Brewer) and Michael (India Cornett); and his great grandchildren, Tyler, Madison, Isaac, Eli and Noah.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Troutdale Rescue Squad or the Troutdale Fire Department 291 Ripshin Road Troutdale, VA 24378.
