It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hazel Denise Phipps McMillian of Independence, Virginia, who passed away on January 23, 2024, at the age of 38, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her brother Christopher Phipps; her grandparents, Crockett, Ella Phipps, Thomas Paul and Hazel Allen; her aunts, Inez Davis and Renea Parsons; and her pet Bella Rose McMillian.
She is survived by : her parents, Randolph Phipps and Pauline Phipps of Independence, VA.; her significant other Jared Lee McMillian; her children, Maecee McMillian, Keyshawn Phipps and Jared McMillian; her sister Ikeisha Davis (Whit); her sister-in-law Leaann Phipps; and her aunts, Lawanda Phipps, Nathalia McKinney of Independence, VA, Lucinda Brown (Duncan) of Alto, GA. and Angela Brown of Roanoke, VA.. She is also survived by 14 Nieces and Nephews, and 4 Great Nieces and Nephews, and a host of family and friends.
