He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Orton Smith, Sr. and Minnie "Ruth" Reeves Smith. He is survived by: his siblings, Charles P. Smith, Alta S. Hoffman, Dr. O. O. Smith, Jr., Mary S. Orr, Anna S. Price and John R. Smith; and his nephews, Charles and Bobby Hoffman. He is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews and families, several great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
