With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Walker Hudgins (Independence, Virginia), born in Portsmouth, Virginia, who passed away on September 28, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her mother Margaret Walker; her former husband Robert Kornegay; her sons, Jason and Rodney Kornegay; her brothers, Roger Walker and Richard Walker; and her brother-in-law Rev. Dallas George.

She is survived by: her husband Tom Hudgins of Kernersville; her stepchildren, Clifford Hudgins (Kathy), Darren Hudgins and Leslie Hudgins; her sister Glenda George; her sisters-in-law, Elaine Walker Stratton (Rick) and Cheryl Walker; her grandchildren, Jessica Heath, Hannah Worst and Skylar Kornegay; and her great grandchildren, Adelynn, Rowyn, Odin, Azalea and Lennox. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
