It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mayra Ortega Diaz (Independence, Virginia), who passed away on September 7, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Maria Mercedes Diaz and Victor Ortega. She is survived by: her siblings, Maria Isabel (Jorge) and Gerardo; her niece Mara; her extended family, Scott, Laura Wright, Russell and Vanessa Hollifield; and her nephews, Kingston, Highland, Sterling and Kullen Hollifield.
