He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Brooks Gregory, Sr. and Ella Shinault Gregory; his wife Janice Coleman Gregory; and his siblings, Mary Frances Beamon, Franklin Brooks Gregory, Jr., Richard "Ricky" Gregory and Barry Gregory.

He is survived by: his sons, Jason "Skillet", Selinda Gregory of Max Meadows, VA and Shane Chandler of Lynn Haven, FL; his grandchildren, Jessica Mitchell, Aimee Gregory and Shayne Chandler; and his sisters, Patricia "Pat" Sapp of Winston Salem, NC, Trenda (Ray Williams) and Tammie (Stephen Blodgett). He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
