She was predeceased by: her father Archie Smith; her brother Guion; and her sister-in-law Carolyn Smith. She is survived by: her children, Jim (Rebecca), Michelle (Howard) and Melinda (Thomas); her grandchildren, Emily, Caleb, Garrett and Hayden; the father of her children James Platt; and her siblings-in-law, Sarah (Lionel), Vickie (Mike), Faye (Henry) and Billy. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
