She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Rogers Gaskins and Willie Ann Lawson; her husband James Mason Sheppard; her brother William F. Gaskins; her son Roger Mason Sheppard; and her sister-in-law Madeline Gray Gaskins.
She is survived by: her brother James Edward Gaskins (Joyce) of Madison; her niece Stephanie Gaskins Turner (Larry) of Madison; and her nephews, Marcus Gaskins Sr. of Jeffersonton and Byron D. Gaskins, Sr. of Madison.
