He was predeceased by: his parents, Reed Spivey and Lela Dingus Spivey; and his wife Elizabeth Carlene Spivey. He is survived by: his sons, R. C. Spivey (Jennifer) of Jonesville, John Spivey of Pennington Gap, VA and David Spivey of Duffield, VA; his daughter-in-law Marlena Spivey of Jonesville; his grandchildren, Brandon Spivey, Bruce, Lucas Spivey, A. J. Olinger, C. J., Zoey, Kassi and Cole Lewis; and his brothers, Wayne Spivey, Jack Spivey, Eddie Spivey and Freddie Spivey. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
