He is survived by: his stepfather Chuck Gilbert; his brothers, Edgar Carter (Elizabeth) and Jerry Ingram; his grandparents, Mabel Carter and Bernice Durrett; his stepgrandparents, Carolyn Gilbert, Alvis Gilbert and Anne Gilbert; and his niece Cora Carter. He is also survived by mother and step-father.
