She was predeceased by: her father Alvin Thornton, Sr.; her husband William McKinley Martin; and her brothers, Alvin Thornton, Jr. and John Thornton. She is survived by: her mother Dolores Thornton; her sons, Jameson Thornton (Shanel) of Newark, DE and Aaron Thornton of Los Angeles, CA; her stepchildren, Avis Allen (Reginald) of Charlotte, NC, William Martin (Cristi) of Danville, VA and Dell Martin of St. Louis, MO; her grandchildren, Airyn Thornton, Vanessa Thornton and Jazlyn Thornton; and her brother Wayne Thornton of El Paso, TX. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
