He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Moses Turner and Martha Turner; his wife Carolyn Turner; his daughter Tashia Turner; and his siblings, Emma Mae Washington, Patricia Ann Nelson and Virene Creasy.

He is survived by: his daughters, Sarah Allen of Waynesboro Va, Phyllis Turner of Charlottesville Va and Emma Turner of Richmond Va; his siblings, Phyllis Hudson, Elaine Feggans, Vanessa Agee, Gary Turner, Calvin Turner, Kit Turner, Jeffrey Turner and Jason Turner; his close friend Joyce Stinnie; and his grandchildren, Natisha Barber, Danielle Webster, Candice Turner, Christopher Turner, Logan Turner, Shynae Turner, Khole Turner, Kierra Turner and Karolyn Turner. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, extended family, loved ones and friends.
