It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emma F. Crawley of Kenbridge, Virginia, born in Lunenburg, Virginia, who passed away on July 22, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Sr. Fowlkes and Eva Hatchett Fowlkes; and her husband Edward Lincoln Crawley, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Arlene D. Johnson of Kenbridge, Alice R. Yancey (Melvin) of Kenbridge, Shirley A. Crawley Drummond (Grayling) of Newport News, Virginia, Edward L. Crawley, Jr. of Kenbridge, Virginia and William T. Crawley (Yvette) of Chesapeake, Virginia; her brother Walter Fowlkes, Jr. of Mount Vernon; her grandchildren, Wesley Johnson, Jr., Kevin Johnson, Tracey Coles, Dr. Anita Harper, Jerrell Drummond, Javien Crawley and Janae Crawley; her brother-in-law George Crawley of Baltimore, Maryland; and her close friend Theodore Gibson of Kenbridge. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
