With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Emma Hite of Kenbridge, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 7, 2025 at the age of 79. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rubin, Sr. Dow and Serena Wallace Dow; her siblings, Rubin, Jr., David Luscious Dow, David Dow (Jo-Jo), Betty Gunter, Bobbie Ricard and Shirley Harris; her niece Laura Ann Dow; and her great-niece Reeshemah Dow.
She is survived by: her children, Sheila, Sarah, Irby Hite of Kenbridge, Jai'Kale Hite of Hopewell and Jai'Kera Trusty Lawrenceville (Terrence); her grandchild DeAndra Meekins (Jami McDowell) of Hopewell; her great grandchildren, Sharkeem Foster of Richmond, Jaydan, Serenity Anderson of Hopewell and Journi McDowell of Hopewell; her sister Mary Webb; her siblings-in-law, Shirley Dow of Kenbridge, Margaret Felder of Richmond, Annie Garner (Joe) of Roanoke, Mary Crawley of Kenbridge, William Hite (Mary Alice) of Richmond, Ella Hite of Richmond, Annette Burrell of Richmond and George Hite of Bon Air, Georgia; Khyree Gilliam of Chester. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, along with many friends.
