He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Murphy Northington, Sr. and Maggie Mae Lambert Northington; and his siblings, Helen N. Plott and Leonard M. "Buddy" Northington, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Donna Kay Northington; his children, Marianne Reynolds of Red House, VA, Robert Northington of Elizabethtown, PA and Sarah Northington of Chesterfield, VA; his grandchildren, Rebecca Hamby (Russell), Stephen Reynolds (Sarah), Norman Reynolds (Olivia) and Morgan Blackmon; his great grandchildren, Sydney, Adalyn, Jase, Ada, Beau, Rosie and Forrest; and his sister Mary Ellen Fowler of Richmond, VA. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Clarke Funeral Home (110 E 5th Ave, Kenbridge, VA 23944). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Perseverance Christian Church Cemetery (2703 Gigg Rd, Kenbridge, VA 23944).
