He was predeceased by: his parents, Harriet Burton McGarity and William Dudley McGarity, Sr.; his wife Dana; and his grandmother Florence Skidmore Burton. He is survived by: his sister Margaret Dee McGarity (Jeffrey R. Riepl); his siblings-in-law, Molly McGarity Fulton, Gabriel Watson, John Burton McGarity, Tiffany Walling McGarity, Anna Margaret McGarity and J. Robert Becklund; his grandchildren, Kyle, Bryan Ciaccio, France Noelle Fulton, William Robert Scott Fulton and Dexter Becklund; and his great grandchild Margaret Lestelle "Stella" Ciaccio.
