He was predeceased by : his parents, John Grant and Laura Grant; his wife Margaret Carolyn Grant; and his great grandchildren, Aubrey Michael and Adaline Belle Church.

He is survived by : his daughters, Debbie Thomas (Jeff) of Farmville and Karen Parsons (Scott) of Keysville; his sisters, Helen Wallace (Hugh) and Myrtle Osborne; and his grandchildren, Theodore "Tad" Reynolds of Christopher, Alice Church (Sam), Nicholas "Nick" Harmon, Julie Crowe, Laura Harmon and Jerald Price.

At the request of the family, those wishing to express sympathy should, in lieu of flowers, support and contribute to the Keysville Volunteer Fire Department, the Charlotte County Rescue Square, or the Barksdale Cancer Foundation.
