She was predeceased by : her parents, Richard Creston Tharpe, Sr. and Bertha Hudson Tharpe of Drakes Branch, VA.; and her brothers, Richard "Pete" Tharpe, Jr. and Carroll Lee Tharpe. She is survived by : her children, Chuck (Susan Dunn) of Keysville and Sheryl (Kris Newcomb) of Drakes Branch; her grandchildren, Brad, Chelle Dunn, Marc, Megan Hall, Matthew and Kelly Newcomb; her great grandchildren, Madileigh and Emerilynn Dunn; her sister-in-law Gracie Tharpe of Drakes Branch; her great-nephews, Nick and TJ Tharpe; her sisters-in-law, Betty Gryder of Keysville, Debbie Epperson (Richard) of Farmville and Alice Dunn of Culpepper; her close friend Beverly Fitz of Keysville; and her friend Sue Dunn. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
